Product Description
Condensation type flame-retardant silicone potting compound is a two-component product, featuring good fluidity, fast curing rate, no corrosion, and low stress after curing. It is highly suitable for thermal potting protection of high-power LED driver power supplies, LED bulbs, LED underwater lights and spotlights driver modules, as well as optical fibers and precision instruments.
Usage method
1. Measurement: Before mixing, component A needs to be thoroughly and evenly stirred using a container such as a manual mixer. It is a normal phenomenon that the packing settles due to long-term storage. Stir well and it won't affect the use.
2. Stirring: Mix components A and B evenly in the mixing tank. Uneven mixing will affect the appearance and insulation performance of the cured product. (Note: The total amount of glue mixed each time should not exceed half of the container; otherwise, the glue will overflow during deaeration.)"
3. Pouring: Pour the well-mixed rubber compound into the product that needs to be potting as soon as possible. Generally speaking, molds of 6mm or less can naturally deaerate. However, when manually mixing, if the molding depth is too deep, bubbles or pinholes may occur on the surface and inside. Therefore, the mixed liquid should be placed in a vacuum container and deaerated at 0.06MPa for at least 5 minutes.
4. Curing: The potting parts can be cured at room temperature or by heating. The higher the temperature, the faster the curing speed. We can adjust the vulcanization time to 1 to 10 hours according to the customer's requirements.
Packaging, storage and transportation, and precautions
The packaging specification of this product is: 20Kg per set, (Component A 20Kg+ Component B 2Kg)
2. This product should be stored in a sealed container in a cool and dry place, protected from rain and direct sunlight.
3. The storage period of this product is 24 months (at 25℃). It can still be used after passing the re-inspection beyond the expiration date.
When mixing components A and B, inaccurate proportioning will affect the vulcanization process and the performance of the product. Therefore, precise measurement is essential.
5. This product is non-hazardous and can be transported as a general chemical.
6. Certain materials, chemical agents, curing agents and plasticizers may inhibit the curing of this product. Such substances include:
Organic tin and other organometallic compounds
Silicone rubber containing organotin catalysts
Sulfur, polysulfides, polysulfone compounds or other sulfur-containing materials
Amines, polyurethane rubber or materials containing ammonia
Unsaturated hydrocarbon plasticizer
Some flux residues
If there are doubts about whether a certain substrate or material will inhibit curing, it is recommended to conduct a small-scale compatibility test first to determine the suitability of the application. If there is liquid or uncured between the questionable substrate and the cured gel interface.
